How Climate Smart Agriculture kept us happy during Christmas and beyond
In the course of the participatory monitoring and evaluation of project activities backed by GEF/UNDP, the manager of the management information system, Mr. Elisha Uke, conducted interviews with Mr. Esame Oyoug, who recounted her experience regarding the impact of the training provided by the Biakwan Light project team on climate-smart agriculture, which significantly enhanced her joy and success during the 2024 Christmas season and beyond.
Climate Smart Agriculture is an advanced farming approach designed to enhance productivity, bolster resilience to climate change, and minimize environmental impact. Mrs. Oyong, a vegetable farmer and leader of the poultry cooperative cluster, outlines how this innovative farming technique has significantly impacted her agricultural practices, financial stability, and personal life. She stated that this marked the first occasion in many years when her family had sufficient food to share with their neighbours; it was a deeply satisfying season.
I love this initiative.
